Thank you for reading!
My love of embroidery began when I was very, very young, around 7 years old when I was shown how to do a stamped cross-stitch by my Mom. When I was a little older, my Grandmother showed me basic embroidery stitches. I remember so clearly sitting on the living room floor while she showed me how to backstitch with olive green embroidery floss to create the stem of a flower.
I have been embroidering ever since, and when I was in my teens began gathering a collection of embroidery books. While I still have an adoration for books and magazines, I have expanded my knowledge by reading many blogs on the topic of embroidery.
These blogs have helped me tremendously with ideas and inspiration! I am amazed at the sharing
conveyed through blogging, and am constantly learning from others around the world as they also embroider. They have inspired me to create my own blog on the topic of embroidery as a way to archive my own stitching journey, as well as to also share information that I have learned.
When I am not embroidering, I love learning about samplers, crazy quilting, finding unique trims and buttons, and trying to be better at sewing :) . I also enjoy reading, making things for people I love, and traveling.
I look forward to sharing all of this with you!
